Have I mentioned before how much I love rice bowls? I think they are the perfect way to serve a family dinner. They can be cheap, super fast and healthy to boot. And the best thing of all? They are fully customizable to your family’s tastes.
Here are a few things I love about rice bowls:
- Letting kids make their own bowl is a great way to get them to eat their dinner
- Gluten free
- Can be Paleo/low carb friendly (substitute cauliflower rice)
- Easy to make ahead
- Makes great leftovers for lunches the next day
- Can be made out of whatever food you have on hand
- 15-30 minutes to the table
Since rice bowls can be whatever you want them to be, you don’t necessarily need a recipe. I usually don’t use a recipe (I mentioned how I make my rice bowls in this post).
That said, there are some fantastic rice bowl recipes out there. The following are some of my favorites.
